It’s one night of dancing to celebrate Jacqui’s (half) birthday. We bring you a night of throwback disco and dance tunes, for those who think young. The dancefloor opens on September 26th, doors at 7pm, dancing ‘til 10:30.
DRESS CODE
Studio 64 is a throwback to the 80s dancefloor. Disco rules apply, but no decade owns the dancefloor. Come dressed for fun. Comfy shoes required.
FOOD & DRINK
We’re dancing, not eating!
The Staircase has a cash bar where drinks and light snacks are served. There will be a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Signature cocktail & mocktail to come. We’ll have water on the tables, in the quiet room, and at the bar.
Want to grab a meal in Hamilton before joining the party? We recommend heading downtown, to James Street North and King William Street, just south of West Harbour GO Station. Some local flavours we love:

PARKING
Right behind the Staircase Theatre, off Hunt St. If the lot is full (somehow!), you can park at the Hamilton Chinese Alliance Church at 51 Breadalbane, about half a block away. It’s a whole one minute walk from the Staircase.
HOW TO GET THERE
From Hamilton:
The Staircase Theatre is only steps from King and Dundurn. The 01, 05, and 10 bus all stop within sightline of the front door. The 08 bus stops a short block north, and goes back downtown no fuss.
From Toronto:
Driving in from Toronto? Dundurn is the first major street in Hamilton when you get off the 403. Hang your first left, and it’s only a block to the theatre. Getting on the highway to head home is even closer.
Taking GO transit in? We recommend the 16 Hamilton Express GO bus leaving at 6:05 from the Union Station Bus Terminal. The bus stop at Main St. West @ Dundurn is a seven minute walk to the Staircase Theatre, due north. You’ll be with us by 7:20.
The Lakeshore West train departing Union Station at 4:59PM will take you directly to West Harbour by 7:11PM. (Just make sure it’s not Lakeshore West to Aldershot!) The 01, 05, 08, and 10 buses are all within walking distance, or the 02 bus will bring you right down to meet them. That’s fashionably late. If you want to get a meal in Hamilton, take an earlier train in! There’s lots of great eats near West Harbour.
On your way out, the 16 Express Bus to Toronto stops at King W. @ Dundurn, steps from the Staircase Theatre, once an hour. Last bus to Toronto leaves Dundurn at 1:07AM. We won’t keep you that late. The last train to Toronto leaves West Harbour at 11:24PM.
